Following the recent Presidential election, where the electoral vote candidate prevailed over the popular vote candidate, the issue is a matter once again for vigorous debate. The debate discussing the pro's and con's of the Constitutionally based Electoral College is sponsored jointly by CCV and the Palm Beach Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society. The discussion will feature Trent England, Director of Save Our States, https://www.saveourstates.com/, who will present the position of those supporting the Electoral College system . Patrick Rosenstiel, Consultant to the National Popular Vote https://www.nationalpopularvote.com/, will present the arguments for a plan by which states will give their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. Carolyn Timmann, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller of Martin County will serve as moderator for this discussion.
